If you want changes in your life you have to get out of your comfort zone by thinking and doing things in new ways. As human beings we are habitual. Science claim that almost 98% of all we do and think is out of habit! So to make changes in life, you will have to create new habits!
In the beginning it will take some persistence and determination. Your brain must, by repetition after repetition create new neurological pathways, and not until that has happened, you have got yourself a new habit that feels natural and comfortable.
You can use affirmations for stretching your comfort zone.
One way of challenging your comfort zone is by using affirmations. Your way of acting and thinking is controlled by your conscious as well as your subconscious beliefs. Often a lot of these beliefs are limiting! You can use affirmations for reprogramming these beliefs.
What is an affirmation?
An affirmation is a statement that describes a goal in its already completed state such as: "I am joyful right here right now". For the affirmations to work, it is important to state it in the positive, so that the affirmations is for what you want, and not what you don't want. If you say: "I am no longer tired" your mind will hear: "I am tired". So the affirmation could instead be: "I now feel refreshed and fit!".
Make the affirmations for yourself.
Don't affirm other peoples way of acting or their behaviour. "My husband is now kind and loving towards me" is not as powerful as: "I now live in a loving marriage".
When you start bombarding your subconscious mind with affirmations and new images and thoughts like: a big bank account, a trim and fit body, a perfect marriage etc. your chances for making changes in your life will increase. When your focus shifts, new doors and opportunities will appear.
